Museum of Art – Japanese Green Tea Ceremony
You can experience authentic Japanese culture in the Kōrin’s Residence situated in the museum garden.
The program takes place in a house designed and lived by Ogata Kōrin, the master of Rinpa school that flourished in the 18th century and the creator of the famous ‘Red and White Blossoms’ screen (which is a national treasure).
*Program participants are invited to enter and view inside the Kōrin’s Residence, which is usually not open to the public.
Chanoyu tea ceremony experience
Make your own bowl of green tea! You can enjoy the first-hand experience of chanoyu tea ceremony in an authentic tea room, situated inside the Korin’s Residence. An instructor will take you through the tea-making procedure.
