Township and Culture Ecotour in Fujinomiya

Fujinomiya City is the gateway to Mt. Fuji with the main Sengen shrine (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) which was built for the sole purpose of worshiping and showing respect to this iconic mountain.

Visit a traditional craftsman and learn how to sharpen Japanese cooking knives.

Get dressed in a kimono at the local kimono shop, walk to the shrine with an English-speaking guide and learn about the history and local rituals that have taken place here for centuries.

Enjoy authentic local food, including Fujinomiya’s famous Yakisoba and Japanese sweets.

At the end of the tour, enjoy Shizuoka green tea with the wagashi you just made.
